The incumbent is responsible for carrying outall the terminal activities related to the receipt, storage, blending, heateroperation, quality control and delivery of product during the shift. Productmovement operations ex Refinery via pipeline or tanker. Reports to the Shift Supervisorfor general guidance.
1.Product Receipt Operations
Responsible for carrying out all the operationsrelated to the product receipts by:-
Tanker/Barge:
Guiding the vessel berthing in line with theallocated manifold, sampling and gauging of ship's tanks, operating thehydraulic loading arm, connecting the loading arm. Communicating withterminal/ship for commencement of discharge. Periodic checking of dischargedproduct quality & Qty and comparing the figs with shore. Periodicship/shore check as per the checklist.
Gauging and lining up of the shore tank,checking of the line qty, etc at terminal end.
Tanktruck:
Pre discharge quality & qty check, liningup the receipt into the nominated tank. Reconciling the receipt qty vs the BLqty.
2.Product Storage
Responsible for carrying out water draining,gauging, sampling of terminal tank after receipt, transfer, blend, etc. Alsoworking/checking of the product receipt.
Responsible for carrying out daily eveningtank gauge and delivery meter reading recording. Required to workout theprovisional stock variation. Also for investigating abnormal stock variations,if any.
Responsible for draw of the required samplesin the required periods to monitor the quality of the product in tank as perthe customer's quality control program.
3. Product Value addition / Blending
Responsiblefor carrying out the following operations:
Stadis addition in Jet A1 tanks after workingout the stadis qty as per the required conductivity.
Pigging or flushing of product pipe lines(Includes the N2 connection, pig launcher operation, lining up & monitoringthe movement).
Any other Blending or value additionoperations the company may choose to perform from time to time.
Assist/Independently cross check the blendingcomponents ratio for in-house blending
Prepare documents and carry out the Ex jetty delivery
Product Loading/Delivery
Responsible for carrying out the operationsrelated to the product delivery by the following modes:-
Tanker
Barge
Pipeline
TankTruck
Tanker Handling
Responsible for carrying out all theoperations related to the safe handling of EIL Supply tankers:
Berthing
Collecting& recording of all the relevant timings in the tanker log.
Assistthe control operator in ship's tank inspection, ullaging, sampling &calculation;.
Connectingthe loading arm or hoses.
Assistthe shift supervisor in completing the Ship/shore safety checklist.
Dischargeperformance monitoring by collecting/checking & recording the hourlydischarge rate, pressure, product qty & sample density.
Need tomaintain effective communication between the ship and all other related shoreagencies like terminal & Port control rooms through out the operation.
Assist/independentlycarry out Pre-discharge/after discharge documentation
Assist/independently carry out preloading/after Loading documentation
Safety
Ensurethat all the shift activities are performed safely as per terminal operatingand safety procedures, EIL Policy and guidelines and in compliance with all theapplicable local regulations.
Maintaina high level of emergency preparedness.
Work asa team with others to promote a safety culture in all the employees.
QAS / EMS
Adhereto laid down quality control procedures during all the operations.
Adviseany variation, non-conformity to the concerned to close all gaps.
Monitoringof all the related EMS programs
Maintainingthe required quality records.
8.Inspection &Maintenance;
Storage tank cleaning:
Emptying& degassing the tank by use of blowers or by natural ventilation.
Manualor mechanical cleaning by removing the sludge.
Disposalof sludge (Hazardous & non hazardous)
Inspectionafter completion.
Equipment:
Inspectand report on the status of product storage monitoring and control equipmentlike dip tapes, thermo probes, hydrometer, viscomar, etc.
Cleaningand replacing of filters & strainers.
Clean& monitor the performance of the pumps, heaters, etc.
Displacingor cleaning of product pipeline by flushing, purging or pigging
Riggingthe lines, valves, hoses & filling with the product.
Responsibleto carry out the routine/day to day maintenance to the utility vehicles, compressors,blowers, etc.
9. General
·To giveproper feedback on the requirements of consumables like sample cans, fittingsand essential tools etc required for the day to day operation for maintainingthe inventory.
