The role holder heads the technical function of a substantial business with overall responsibility for strategic product development, commercial understanding and achievement of targeted income and operating profit within acceptable levels of risk for the coating additives portfolio. The results are delivered through peer heads of business segments and business support areas within the framework of corporate policies and guidance from CEO and Board. Senior level relationships / interfaces with customers and Group’s support functions are critical. The role holder is expected to manage assigned resources/costs optimally and make decisions within delegated authority limits or recommend proposals to CEO and / or Board for approval. Broad and deep market trends, founded on extensive technical expertise and high levels of intellectual and people- related competencies are essential. Managing technical partnerships with relevant organizations and research institutes are critical.
