POSITION OVERVIEW :
Provides Systems Assurance expertise as part of the project management consultants team and acts as the focal point for Systems assurance on the project.
Analyzes existing systems and defines, designs, develops, and implements highly-complex and difficult technical products and systems specific to client needs. Assignments typically involve working with other engineering disciplines and may include, but are not limited to, designing new products, modifying existing designs, improving producton techniques, and developing test procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Management of safety assurance deliverables
Reliability, Maintainability and Availability reviews
Safety cases development and review
Systems and security risk appraisal
Interface with the independent safety assessor
Advisory and acceptance role with regards system assurance
Verification and validation assessment of safety assurance requirements
Software assurance

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BSc/MS degree in Engineering or related field, and 15+ years of related work experience with at least10 years’ rail systemsexperience.
Must have project experience in rail/metro industry
Professional Engineer registration may be required
Working knowledge of current systems engineering practice and standards including EN 50126, EN 501297and EN 50128
ETCS/ CBTC experience with operator or Manufacturer
Driverless / ATO operations Experience
Regional experience is preferred
