Description:

Facilitating and coordinating all production needs for the OSN Studios.
Key Accountabilities

Ensure the Studio facilities at OSN satisfy the requirements of the Sports and GE departments at OSN.
Continually assess the production needs of Sport / GE Programming and attend production meetings.
Identify the operational staff and resources required for each production.
Assess freelance production staff and ensure they are suitable to support OSN production requirements.
Ensuring freelance staff are booked and available as required to meet studio requirements.
Ensure best practice Health and Safety procedures are followed by all personnel.
Produce call sheets for each production.
Maintain studio log and booking schedule.
Produce monthly production report for Director of Broadcast and CTO.
Coordinate with the Engineering Team ensuring Studio equipment is maintained and fully functional.
Manage EVS and studio recordings in coordination with production staff and Media Operations.
Constantly review operational processes and implement new procedures as required.
Assist with budget planning for Capex and Opex costs related to the Studio Operation.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
To develop specialist skills whilst retaining the capability of balancing and controlling the whole range of Studio productions, both live and pre-recorded.
Strong understanding of audio and video standards used within a studio environment.
Clear understanding of file based workflows and formats.
Studio lighting and camera shooting techniques.
To work to the highest level either with colleagues or single-handed. To be responsible for and offer advice on the technical quality of programme material.
To have a clear understanding of all studio equipment and developments in programme making methods.
To assist teams within the studio, offering operational guidance and advice.
To keep pace with developments in Studio Production and make use of opportunities at work to take a proactive approach to self-development.
To take responsibility for own safety and for the safety of others where appropriate.
Ability to operate Studio equipment in a safe manner.
Operational experience within a Studio and Live Broadcast environment
Excellent aural judgement and a proven ability to prioritise in the most demanding on-air situations
Demonstrable flexibility in approach
Experience of successful working in teams with an ability to form effective working relationships quickly, to inspire confidence and to influence others
Keeping up to date with appropriate media developments, technology and production process change in the industry. A strong understanding of production processes.
Demonstrable ability to acquire and adapt skills to learn new technology
To be self-motivated, willing to learn on own initiative whenever opportunity allows
Requirements

Experience required:

At least 5 years' experience within a Broadcast Production role or live Studio environment.

Education requirement:

Broadcast Production or associated qualifications.
