Assist in the supervision of the day to day administration of the project accounting department.
Liaise with project accountants for project specific financial information for reporting purposes.
Assist in the preparation of PMT and Rented Marine Equipment standards annually for the ME region
Direct supervision of the PMT Budget, Accounts Receivable & Project Accounting Support accountants.
Collation & preparation of various standard monthly & quarterly financial reports & schedules for Middle East Projects based on inputs from respective project accountants.
Collate information on project financial variances to further analyze, review and explain (in narrative form) those variances in management reporting packages
Check and review the POC calculations prepared by project accountants to ensure consistency with accounting policies and procedures.
Supervising the maintenance of SOX documentation to ensure they are in line with project accounting related control processes
Pricing of prospective projects for inclusion in income statements and cash flows forecasts
Any other special and ad-hoc exercise as required by local and corporate management
Maintain "Action" logs and follow-up independently to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Job Requirements
Accountancy degree – CA / CPA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
At least 3 – 5 years’ experience working as a project / management accountant or on large engineering and construction project.
Experience related to SOX and its implementation will be preferred
Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to formulate recommendations regarding financial analysis problems, methods and solutions
Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
