Carry out assessment of all safety incident and accident reports received through ROSI relating to airworthiness matters or any other report including domestic or international critical safety issues, and finally develop aviation safety promotional packages in coordination with GCAA functional area, in particular Airworthiness.
Provide safety risk assessments of the impact of non-compliance to regulatory and operational requirements on airworthiness matters.
Provide assistance to GCAA Airworthiness to conduct hazard identification and risk management to enhance safety performance.
Review safety issues, trends, data and reports sourced from the UAE aviation industry, the Air Accident Investigation department, on airworthiness matters and identify risks and mitigation actions.
Review and provide comments or participate in any safety study done internally or externally that contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of GCAA Safety processes and practices while taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, and productivity improvement relating to airworthiness of aircraft.

Safety Promotion
Develop safety promotion materials in order to provide support in the safety awareness and campaign program of the Safety Affairs Sector relating to airworthiness of aircraft.
Communication
Communicate and coordinate with the functional areas concerned to establish and recommend risk management tolerances and other safety recommendations.
State Safety Program
Provide support in the preparation and update of approved changes on the State Safety Program to ensure that all revisions are properly recorded and relayed to all concerned departments.
Support the department in the definition of target safety KPIs and monitor its achievement in order to make the necessary recommendations for corrective action.
Safety Affairs
Arrange and participate in Aviation Industry Safety events and other safety studies on airworthiness matters in coordination with relevant stake holders in order to represent the department in various activities and risk mitigation planning.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Develop and recommend mitigation strategies on policies, processes, procedures and instructions, after carrying out risk assessment, to all aviation stakeholders and monitor their adherence so that works are carried out in a controlled manner.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of SRM section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes and productivity improvement.
Reports
Prepare timely and accurate departmental reports on safety risk management relating to airworthiness in order to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.
Safety, Quality and Environment
Comply with all relevant GCAA safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
