Being able to handle all sorts of rigging equipment and identify them with their capacities (S.W.L)
Having the health and safety as the first priority on daily activities.
Conduct visual inspection of lifting gears and equipments prior to use ensuring that they are in good condition.
Checking of the approx. weight of the load against the SWL of the lifting gears and equipments.
Carrying out rigging / lifting activities in safe working practices.
Maneuvering all sorts of materials that are requested to move.
Perform other rigging related work e.g. clearing of materials (scraps / re-use) during vessel clearing, and other tasks as instructed by the Pipe Rigging Foreman.
Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
Skills
Two years work experience and passed the Rigging trade test.
