This internship is suitable for a student that is currently studying Business, Marketing, Communication, Commerce, Economics or a similar field that is related to Business and Marketing. The role will be 6 days a week and is ideal for those looking to move into a marketing or events based career. The individual should be motivated and hard working, and ideally can drive.

Ripe offers a unique alfresco shopping experience, with four weekly markets, that have become the UAE's leading community events. We operate markets in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

During the internship, the student will support the Markets Marketing Manager with the following:

Researching for potential new vendors and concepts online/at events & gathering contacts to share with marketing team
Researching potential new activations to bring into the markets (new fun activities or workshops that will drive footfall)
Researching potential new websites/social media pages to promote the markets
Booking in any new activations into system for each market
Liaising with booked vendors each week via various channels, providing them with marketing toolkits and to make sure each one is promoting the markets
Researching venues for flyer drops and organizing the delivery
Assisting the marketing manager with any new projects/research
Working onsite at each market – this involves social media updates (stories, snapchat, Instagram and facebook) recording the look and feel of each market, as well as liaising with any onsite activations that are booked and making sure each vendor has flyers and is promoting the markets. Also included: monitoring all marketing materials and signage are in correct placing and undamaged
Liaising with and booking photographers for each market
Liaising with and booking musicians
Uploading images of each market to social media every week
Managing Facebook accounts and uploading weekly posts according to scheduling
Managing event promotion across social media
Managing Instagram accounts and posting
Maintaining and updating the database
Seek and analyse competitor marketing and sales materials both online and offline
Liaising with the markets team regarding booking of activations, making sure each week they receive all information of onsite activations taking place .
