MEIRA is a non-profit organization, promoting financial transparency and better communication to shareholders for listed companies in the Middle East. Our members are CFOs and Investor Relations Officers from top-listed companies in the Middle East.
MEIRA is looking for full time marketing, communication and event Manager, to support our communication and event programme. The Manager plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager in organizing the activities of the Association. The Manager will be in charge of organising, promoting and marketing our events internally and externally. The Manager should be proactive and advise the Board on media, events and communication efforts to improve our profile.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Work closely with the General Manager and the Board Members
Support and coordinate the organisation of all our events across the Middle East:
o Business breakfasts
o Seminars
o Trainings
o Networking reunions
o Conferences including our Annual Conference in Dubai
o Gala Dinner
o Award Ceremony
Manage and keep updated our app, websites and social media accounts
Develop, produce and manage content for our websites, social media accounts, newsletters, publications
Coordinate our internal and external communication, with the support of our PR advisors
Analyse and develop our media profile
Create a company brochure and monthly newsletter
Prepare and create graphic design work if required
Organise internal meetings and quarterly Board Meetings, take minutes
Support on administrative and finance tasks
Book travels and manage expenses
Maintain contact lists up to date
What is expected from the Manager
Excellent communication skills
Excellent written and spoken English
Previous communication/event/marketing experience is essential
Experience in Investor Relations/capital markets would be a plus
Good knowledge of media and social media management
Good organization skills, including multi-tasking and respect of deadlines
Attention to details
Autonomy and pro-activity
Result-Oriented. Have a positive attitude toward challenges
Qualifications
University/College degree in a related discipline
Minimum 2-year experience in a marketing and event-related role
Visa requirement
Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Parent/spouse visa is highly preferred.
Needs to be able to travel easily in the GCC and Middle East, on short notice
Salary:
dhs12-15k depending on experience and profile.
