Working for an extremely well-funded start-up based in Dubai, the Category Director / Head of Trading / eCommerce Director will lead and grow a talented team to drive commercial growth of this eCommerce business, which is set to be the Amazon of the Middle East.
The Category Director / Head of Trading / eCommerce Director will be responsible for:
Full P&L responsibility for the numerous categories in your "super category"
Developing and implementing a customer-centric category plan across both marketplace and retail stocked in to deliver sales, margin and stock budgets
Site merchandising, merchandising, buying and marketplace account management
Establishing credible relationships with suppliers to ensure the best cost, best supply and best delivery for customers
Working closely with the exec team to drive overall rapid growth of the business
Growing and leading a team of talented category managers, merchandisers and others
Ensuring best in class customer experience
The Category Director / Head of Trading / eCommerce Director will have:
Strong category management / trading / merchandising / eCommerce experience
Excellent analytical skills and a data driven mindset
Great negotiation and influencing skills
Strong team management experience
Good academics (or equivalent work experience)
