Description:

The manager will lead the Wire & Cable Division's efforts in serving customers and growing business in the Middle East region. Delighting existing customers helps protect customer base and is the foundation to up-sell new services to existing customers. Growth of business can be accomplished by taking away business from competitors, expanding into new markets or new services, as well as recruiting new customers. Strong emphasis will initially be on developing the Fiber Optic Components (FOC) service offering in the Middle East with the potential of expanding the geographic coverage outside the region. Key performance metrics of this role include Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer base expansion, revenue growth and revenue generated from new markets or new services.

Develops a good and on-going understanding of the market condition in the Middle East region. The understanding includes regulatory requirements and their changes, changes of Wire & Cable related technologies driven within the region, and needs of customers and prospects.
Identifies opportunities to better serve customers and grow business, puts together a game plan to capture the opportunities, and aligns internal resources to execute the game plan.
Represents Wire & Cable Division in related industry associations and trade associations in the region to collect market intelligence and influence direction of the associations.
Establishes relationship with key customers to gain their trust, and identifies and nurtures UL advocates in each of the key customers to speak for UL.
Supports Business Development Director in the development and launch of new services by providing market intelligence and mobilizing internal resources to launch and ramp up new services.
Explores new geographic markets by conducting environmental scanning and supports decision making of whether UL should enter into the new markets and how to enter.
Develops marketing and external communications plan for the region, and work with internal marketing resources to execute the plan.
Motivates and trains up sales resources in the region to make them more focused on Wire & Cable, specifically FOC, while enhancing their confidence in selling these Wire & Cable services.
Works with internal resources for achieving short term order and revenue targets.
Provides management team with short-term forecast for current year, as well as participates in the yearly budgeting exercise by providing prospective about revenue and expenses for coming year.

A degree holder with at least ten years of commercial and product development experience in Wire & Cable industry. MBA preferred
Strong knowledge of fiber optic cable and related components are preferred
Be able to interact with top executives of key customers and gain their trust
Have a broad knowledge of Wire & Cable products, their technology trends and their demand drivers
Possesses the business savvy to make sound and quick business decisions in an ambitious environment
Have a strong growth mindset and an entrepreneur spirit
Ability to get things done through internal resources without reporting relationship
Established relationship in the FOC segment of the Wire & Cable industry in Middle East region preferred
Fluent in Arabic and English. Ability to speak multiple languages preferred
Experience and willingness to travel outside Middle East will be a plus.
