Architect – Arabic Speaking

Candidate should:
• Arabic Speaking and fluent in English - have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• have at least 7-10 years of professional experience in designing & project management, including minimum 3 years in international construction companies in UAE.
• with UAE driving license
• master AutoCAD applications- Photoshop - Primavera - 3D - Revit - Illustrator - InDesign and associated design tools.
• have deep knowledge of snag reports and a de-snag inspection of a newly-built property.
• be extensively and progressively responsible experience in planning, designing and managing design and construction of major multi used complex projects; includes extensive experience in design and construction of housing and mixed used buildings.
• Knowledge of design and construction management principles; includes CPM scheduling, cost control, change order pricing/negotiation and construction techniques, standards and practices.
• have Knowledge of architectural design principles such as building definition materials and methods, urban design, elements of 'good' design, form, function, materials and methods, circulation, context, and design standards and codes.
• have the Ability to independently prepare architectural procedures and forms.
• demonstrate ability to present complex information to diverse audiences, both verbally and graphically.
• Experienced in dealing with Authorities and their Regulations.
• have the Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• have demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of IGO, works effectively in a diverse work environment.
- Prepares project brief, conceptual design of various types of projects and work with other team members to prepare the architectural construction drawings and documents.
- Performs design and construction management skills during the project’s life cycle.
- Prepares technical reports, progress reports, special studies and cost estimates for the projects.
- Lead the snag / de-snag inspection of a newly-built property and prepare a report. List all defects and to bring this snag list to the management’s attention so that the defects can be fixed. Often a fixed time limit is prescribed during which the snag list must be compiled and submitted.
- Participates equitably in the development and implementation of the Division/project goals and objectives. Strives to achieve the goals of the organization for diversity and disadvantaged business enterprises participation.
- Prepares and makes presentations to various groups, governmental and private organizations and interest groups, as required.
- Coordinates architectural design efforts with civil and MEP design and systems.
- Prepares tender analysis report and negotiate with contractors.
