An opportunity has arisen for an Account Director to act as a shared resource between our Corporate and Technology teams to focus on growth across both sectors to deliver profitable revenue for our existing client portfolio as well as new business.
The Account Director will be leading major activities for accounts, managing teams to deliver strong results and ensuring work is of the highest quality. They will also be helping to develop strategic plans for brands, ensuring tactics meet client’s business objectives. The successful candidate will be a mentor to junior team members, providing them with guidance on their career development.
Responsibilities include:
Lead major Corporate account on properties, communities and hotels. Will be responsible for the leadership and overall direction of the account team as it relates to client service, staffing, training and quality control
Mentor and equip teams with the skills they need to grow
Own financial business management and resource allocation
Drive proactive new business outreach program to grow the Technology sector business
Build relationships with key client stakeholders to drive existing programs and explore new avenues of organic growth opportunities
Act as the senior counsel to team on existing Technology client portfolio
Mentor and equip teams with the skills they need to grow
Candidate Requirements:
The Account Director must have at least five years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
Arabic language considered an asset.
Experience in leading and executing high-quality, research-driven communications programs for clients to advance their business and brands
Lead and /or contribute to organization’s new business strategy
Help clients garner support, advance brands and/or corporate/organization reputations by engaging with key stakeholders: consumers, employees, media, vendors, partners and/or other businesses/organizations.
Develop revenue by growing profitable client relationships. Should have an understanding of how communications teams work from both client and agency-sides.
Be entrepreneurial and professional with impeccable written, verbal communication and presentation skills. In addition, should have a record of successfully stewarding client budgets through planning, resource management, forecasting and vendor negotiations; and also help solicit and win new business.
Have experience leading and growing teams in the past and be a superb people manager able to attract, motivate, retain, empower and coach staff, and will possess the vision, insight and confidence necessary to manage a team.
Work to thoroughly understand Edelman’s various consulting processes/approaches and global capabilities, be able to demonstrate the value of these offerings to clients, and lead all aspects of their planning and execution.
